10 Best Items for Mindful Sensory Grounding

If you’re not sure what mindful sensory grounding is, check out my previous post by clicking here (don’t worry, it will open in a new tab).

Disclaimer: Affiliate link products in this post are not necessarily objectively “the best” out there, but I’ve tried to find some reasonably priced/good quality options for you.

Mindful sensory grounding can be used with pretty much anything, but I’ve put together a list of items that I find particularly effective.

As I mentioned in my previous post, some of these items will not be safe to use all your senses (for example, there will be some items that it would inappropriate to taste), but as part of the exercise, just notice this, acknowledge it, and move on.

  1. I did this exercise as a starter on a work Mental Well-being course, using a Freddo ☺️. Really brought home to me how fast-paced life can be and the ease in which simple pleasures can be lost. I stop and smile and remember each time I see a Freddo now 🍫.

    • That’s great! When we stop and take notice of the moment, it can be quite surprising to see how we have been living life at 100mph for so long without even realising it. Glad you found it useful!
